Default War Machines

Yes, as Terry pointed out, following the success of several annual displays at both the Army Ball and the Army Run, the CWM asked if both Dan Ferland and I could provide an indoor 'hands-on' display of Second World War Armoured Corps related militaria from our collections for the upcoming War Machines event in August. While there will not be any sleeping bags or mosquito bars on display, as they were not issued in North West Europe during the war, there will be a number items of clothing and equipment including; and as Terry surmised, a leather Jerkin and perhaps even some wartime tank suits.

I know I will most certainly take a break from discussing the contents of the issue "housewife" to also step outside and enjoy in the sights and sounds of the running vehicles.
