I'm looking for a source of the anti-vibration mounts used in many vehicles for WS19s. Can anyone help please?

Hello Tony and welcome to the MLU Forum.
A few years ago I found the bonded rubber and steel plates these Bridges are made from are still in production in various widths and heights. I even bookmarked the website on our old computer, but have not yet relocated the information. You have to visualize the raw material as being in a long strip a metre or so in length, not the individual finished bits. An electric hacksaw is best used to set the strip into to cut the required sized pieces and then a little drilling for the two mounting holes and typically some tap and die work for the centre threaded hole, which is a BA size as I recall. In most 19-Set installations, space is very tight to swing a spanner and a Cheese Head machine screw with a Shakeproof Washer under the head was the easiest means of securing the wireless set Carrier or Mount to the Bridge. I will poke around again on the old computer and see if I can find the raw product information, but no guarantees I am afraid. In the meantime, however, Jordan Baker, who is also on this site, will, from time to time, produce a small batch of these Bridges for the 19-Set , if there is enough demand that he can fit it into his schedule. He makes a top rate product. Send him a note with your needs. One word of caution. These Bridges ARE NOT FEET! They were never intended to be put under any load without the the bottom plate with the two holes being secured to a surface properly. This transfers the load of the wireless set through the Bridges and into the mounting surface. Left unsecured, the bottom portion of the Bridges will splay outwards and when you try and close them up to mount them correctly, the bonding between the rubber and steel bits will shear apart. Hope this helps. David |
