Keith while looking at the second blow up of the other trucks you say it could be a lendlease Chev with a radar or wireless body on it.
I think it is a 1941 conventional chev with the guards cut out for the large tyres similar to this one taken at Corowa this year by Tony. cheers Cliff  http://www.oldcmp.net/Images/Aircraf...n_trucks_1.jpg this is the other pic from Keiths site.
