Default Unusual mudguards

These NOS mudguards are interesting in that they have a folded section at the lower end. Normally this is absent and the guards are simply drilled for mudflaps.
Has anyone seen this before?

Keith: interesting bit of serendipity...I haven't a clue about the mud guards about which you asked....however...

Can you or anyone else on this Forum give me some advice about the dimensions/material/ other info WRT to the rear mudguards for a C15A, 1944 manufacture. My vehicle has the tool boxes at the rear, on a 2J1 GS box.

References which I've looked up are scant in detail, i. e. Gregg's series and the CMP Profiles.

Line drawings, pics, or whatever reference material is most welcome.

I really wanna make this CMP something that will knock the sox off you Antipodean types. (After all, we've got to do the best with what few we have!).

Hi Jon
Can't help with the rear guards but your truck already is a stunner!

And yes, you tragically CMP-poor types you do have to make the best of what little you have remaining!

Well, we were greatly magnaminious, post war, in leaving copious amounts of CMPs behind us.

Don't you agree? (If Hanno is lurking about, I'm sure he does agree).

We've always been much too gracious as a people, in general. Time to call in our chips?

Just you try! Although we partly built them and I don't think they were lend-lease or "gifts" so perhaps you have a valid point about those CMPs in Europe.

OK you Europeans, hand 'em over... stand and deliver!

LOL maybe we can sweeten the deal with one packet for each one they hand back?

Hmmm but if we want to be less generous maybe just one tim tam per vehicle handed back

Cheers

Just amazing how subjects change isn't it.

However Keith I have seen both types of mudguard on CMP's. The ones as shown have the mudflap fitted to the lip and then a steel bar over it to give more support to the mudflap.

hope this helps
Cheers
Cliff
