If it was not for some replicas or "fakes", the visual and moving image of these vehicles would not be seen for real, only as pictures in books or exhibits in museums, so they do serve a purpose.

I built this vehicle for League of Extraordinary Gentlemen which, being set in 1899, made it a bit of a science fiction tank! We recently converted it to be a bit more like a WW1 tank, but with the constraints of its previous guise, could only do so much. Would never fool any of us, though I'm sure the public didn't notice or care!
