...Suddenly, a bright flash of lightning and loud roll of thunder announced the commencement of a torrential downpour. The ground was rapidly becoming too soft to support the convoy which was by now assembled on the crater's floor. "What the f&@* are we going to do now" thought the expedition's C.O. as Jeeps and Bedfords flailed about in the axle deep mud... fortunately the CMPs, with their superior Canadian design were not affected...
