No idea about the rubber on the wheels. However the carrier front will rase up a bit when it first starts to move. This is because the track is being pulled by the sprockets. With the weight of the carrier sitting on the track the rear end goes down a few inches. Once you start to move the initial resistance is overcome and the carrier levels out. The suspension is really "soft" as I can lift the back end of my carrier about 3inches just by myself.
