Bill,

These Hathis were bought by the Australian government so would have been disposed of over there. The REME Museum in England had one restored / rebuilt, from basically a bare chassis, some years ago and were desperate to find the correct engine, in the end a similar Thornycroft unit was found as a compromise. The vehicle had survived in the woods hauling timber out and had a Bedford diesel fitted when found.
