Stewart, try an old time bicycle repair guy. The pedals are left hand thread on some bikes. Years ago there was a guy in Whitby that repaired bikes and he lent me a whole set of British left thread dies. He has since passed away and wouldn't you know it the family threw out a lot of his stuff. If this doesn't work I can trade you a drum from one of my parts trucks. I just need your old drum to put a wheel back on. Hope this helps.
