Keith and Jim. Thanks for your replies I appreciate it. I took measurements of this type of tipper body when I was at Kingaroy and it was a dual wheel truck but other photos I have from both AWM and Pictures Australia show the single wheel version, hense my confusion.

Jim it is the first time I have seen the spacers so thanks for your imput.

I am building a 1/35 scale model of the tipper so this is why I asked but I will make it the same as the dual wheel picture, as the model I am modifying is a Chev as well and I have some spare GMC-CCKW wheels. I will leave the tray up and leave the RH front guard off as well I think. After all these hard worked trucks did a lot of work in the Pacific building airfields and roads as well as dock facilities.

Cheers
Cliff

PS> also thanks to Bob Moseley for supplying (some time ago) photos of the hydrolic hoist setout on the CMP tipper.
