Welly, wellies:

Wellington boot. Calf length, waterproof rubber footwear.

Also known as Wellygogs.

May also be commonly used to encourage more acceleration, power or force as follows in these examples:

"He was really wellying it down the High Street when the plod nicked him"

"You'll not get that bush in there by tapping it with a toffee hammer, welly it with the lump hammer."
