Chimo

Chimo to you too

An Inuit word meaning "Are you friendly?" On the Artic tundra when two people met one would rub his chest and say "chimo". The reply was to rub your chest and repeat "chimo". It was also used as an exclusive Canadian greeting around the time of the Centennial.

Example used in a sentence:

Chimo eh. How's it going. Let's get some Kraft Dinner and play hockey eh?

What other abbreviations do people use which others don't understand? Most are fairly self explanatory such as Laughing Out Loud and variations, In My Humble Opinion and so on...

Nope Vancouver, has (had)a store on Davies and went to court to keep the name HUNKY as the greenies thought it was offensive to Ukrainians. He said "I am a Ukrainian and HUNKY BILL is my name so bugger off" Great guy.
