Service Rifle Shooting Association was the original group. SRSA.
The Museum of Applied Military History is the sort of umbrella group that everyone re enacts under. Gavin Watt is the guy in the center you were probably talking to. He is one of the most knowledgable military historians you will ever hope to meet. He likely would have been portraying a member of the Perth Regiment on that day. There are members from all over portraying soldiers from any conflict Canada participated in.
