Gordon you are right to a point. L/Bdr Hellyer probably crossed the floor of Parliament more than any other modern day MP. He was elected as a Liberal in 1949 then sat as an Independant after a dispute with "Give them the finger Piere". He formed his own party Action Canada then I believe he ran for leadership of the PC Party. Finally he returned to the Liberal Party. I guess you could say he was an opportunist.
