I might be wrong on the mounting location being the axle. It's been about 10 years since I last installed one of these. I think I have one somewhere in my piles of carrier parts, but I am not up to that point of restoration yet. What happens if you install it on the lower muffler bracket? Will the other bar match up with some other pair of bolts, such as the engine cover angle iron bolts? Last edited by rob love; 09-02-06 at 21:36.
