The second style you have shown is for a 24 stud Blitz style motor. I don't believe any of these were produced during the war, and were most often found on post-war trucks. They were used with thicker castings to improving coolant flow and sometimes had a smaller combustion chamber volume to raise compression to give 100hp on post-war V8s. Most often found on Truck motors rather than car engines, the ones that do show up usually have a part number C7RT- 6049 or C7RT-6050 indicating 1947 truck. Unfortunately, while popular duing the late 40s and 50s (leading to the aftermarket introducing them as speed equipment), the alloy tends to corrode in the water jacket, and they are prone to cracking and stripping spark plug threads.
