Does anyone recognize this trailer as exmilitary or is it just made up from surplus gear. Has 9.00x18 split rims vacuum over hydraulic brakes on the rear axle only. Really solidly built might look good behind my CMP.

Graeme,
It looks very similar to the Sentinel 2 ton trailer built for the British Army in the 50's. The drawbar looks the same, only they had 900-16 tyres and air brakes. They were built for mounting specialist equipment on, cheifly, 27.5 kva genny, lub. plant, jerrican filling machine, etc, where the centre of gravity can be kept low by mounting between the wheels. Yours may be an Aussie version. Richard |
