Just watched a two hour special on the ceremonies commemorating the 90th anniversary of the battle of Beaumont Hamel... very touching. And yes, I was well familiar with the battle long ago.
Of course, Dominion Day, excuse me. The P.C. movement has worked long and hard to erase anything good or noble or smacks of our British heritage. Sometimes I fall victim to their unrelenting attempts to re-write Canadian history.

My unit once bunked at the R.N.R. armoury in Stephenville. We spent several nights in the Jr. Ranks mess being regaled by the P.M.C. of the exploits of the regiment. They have a long and proud history.
