As for break downs, it's like any other AFV.
In my opinion, the CF would be smart to look at an updated version for mud recce, to compliment the Coyote. The troop leader doesn't need a coyote to do his job. After all, he doesn't spend all that much time on the OP screen.
A grizzly turret (cadillac gage) on a deisel powered ferret would be ideal.

The Grizzly Cadillac Gage turret has been retro-fitted to later versions of the M113.

Or, in your opinion, is there not a good mix of wheeled vs tracked vehicles available on the battlefield?

My .02 cent question.
