Well, THIS guy went to jail for pee-ing on a monument! I just read this story in Canoe (via the Winnipeg Sun links) and thought you'd all be interested to read it too

SUDBURY, Ont. -- A 21-year-old Winnipeg man who relieved himself on a war monument in this northern Ontario city's downtown Memorial Park says he didn't realize what the structure was.
"I had no idea it was a monument. I was over the top that night," Shawn Morris told Ontario Court Justice Guy Mahaffy.
"I can't see how someone would mistake that monument from something other than what it is," Mahaffy said yesterday as he sent Morris to jail for 60 days.
The sentence is in addition to the month Morris has spent in jail since the July 26 incident.
The Navy League of Canada monument was erected to honour merchant seaman who lost their lives during the Second World War.
