Bob is correct, all the 2 Pdr Carriers started with the series number six and the other three digits were the ARN (serial or hull number). Giving you a four digit number 6XXX. The hull number was also stamped into the tow coupling at the front centre of the vehicle with stamps about 3/4 inches high. Gives you a place to look if you don't have the ID plate.
