1942 Australian 12 cwt Chevrolet Ute - Help!

Now attach photo which should show detail clearly. I got it wrong with reference to the GM logo, there is the standard Maple Leaf entwined! Also I was reading part of the word 'serial' only seeing the IAL

Any thoughts, correct plate for vehicle of what?
