			What a special effort that database is . You must be our number cruncher on the MLU forum I think . I spotted my 1940 15 cwt ute in your list ........ 99% of these utes were sent overseas with the AIF , hence their rarity at home . Interestingly my vehicle has the CFA ( Country Fire Authority ) logo on the door , but the CFA didn't come into existance until 1944 I believe . It escaped military service by some miracle . The Holden body plate says: colour PRT RD , which is Port Red I think . The faded red paint is visible on the cab . Mike .

			My survivor hiding under a pear tree , Unfortunately , the chassis has been crunched at the R H side rear . The Holden cabs have a different radius on the cab roof compared to the Nth. American cabs . It appears to have done low miles . Found down near Geelong .

			G'day Mike! If that cab is a Holden one then the Canadian designation was 1301 Special Chassis for Australia CKD, in the 1/2 ton range. Note the "C" prefix indicating light Commercial 216, whereas the heavier trucks above 1-ton had "T" prefixes.

			Warning it is 1.5MB and a .doc file. I hope that you look at the Southampton-assembled vehicles. British Chevrolet Database Mega File This is only a fraction of the registration records I have seen, as these are the only ones selected because of chassis/engine numbers. 			It's interesting that the Australian army designated these as 15 cwt GS Vans , whereas the Canadian/US GM supplier called them 1/2 ton chassis . Mike

			Mike, the Southampton Plant assembled JC Master Chassis with Cowl, 113 1/2" w.b. 1/2-tonners as the "CS" namely, "Chassis, Short" and the 123 3/4" JB 3/4-tonner as the "CL", for "Chassis, Long". In fact the very first truck assembled was a CS chassis-cowl and these were both rated at 15-cwt.
