The War Office book shows this contract, SM6242 as a NO6 . Also, looking up the census number, 5559024 in Chilwell list is interesting; H5558376 - H5559875 ex-USA Ford & Willys Car 5cwt 4x4 Now, jeeps were never in the H class, I wonder if this is a group of vehicles handed over by the USA, which could included jeeps. The Mack could well have been designated L, because its use was not intended to be as a tractor (ie H). They were designed to tow the US 155mm gun.
