Re. Strickland Carrier

Ada & I went to the clearance sale which was at Kaniva. We left 3.30am and returned home about 3pm. We left before it came under the hammer as there was so much crap there. I took a number of photographs and was going to post them but Rocket Ron beat me to the punch. It was sold for $3200 and I'm trying to track down the new owner at the moment.
The Hull Number has left me in a bit of a quandry. It was VR 417, but when I look at my database it appears that number was allocated to a 1941 SAR Carrier. I'm going to have to go back to my original source of this number.
