I am still learning so I will keep it simple.
One of my vehicles is a 1942 Lend Lease 2.5ton tabletop Chev with a Holden body. It has a single speed diff. Does anyone know a source of ring gear and pinion sets. I am after a 38-7 set part no. 604416. Help please. Col.

Try Ross Prince in Hervey Bay. He is a member here, I think he goes by the name ' Lendlease'

Colin
The same crown wheel and pinion (diff centre) is fitted to the C15 Blitz and the lend lease Chev truck. The crown wheel and pinion may be the same as chev trucks ( single speed ) up to the fifties. This may help with your search . Regards Jim S.

I should maybe be a bit more specific with what I am looking for.
The standard diff in my truck and in the C15 is 37-6 tooth 6.166 ratio. The ring gear and pinion which I am looking for is 38-7 tooth 5.428 ratio. This ratio was used in ambulances and other such light duty units. It was used in models 15, Y and M in 1941-42 and model 11 from 46-54. It was apparently only used in 1.5 ton trucks with 160' wheelbase according to my parts book. I do have a spare diff with the 38-7 gears but too much rust, took it out of a rag top ambulance which was too far gone to restore unfortunately. Col.
