RCAF flight boot inserts 1940???

Just fould a couple of pair of these marked RCAF 1940. Wool lined, pretty bulky for an insert into a flight boot??? Steel buckles. Cheers Rob

mosquito ashtray...

Don't know about the boots, but I do like the mosquito ashtray. Is that on a cylinder head from a RR merlin engine? I have an ashtray from an RR merlin engine.
