Yes, It was a similar body. I have seen another of the same WO number with what appears to be a standard dropside GS body too although it may have been a retrofit.
I think a few of these were retained into the 1960s as were many other specialist CMP types and some were demobbed into the various fire services. What I find interesting is the WO52 trucks I have the numbers for were assembled at three different plants - Melbourne, Sydney and Perth. To add a small detail the WO 52 was a Garage for the Armoured Division whilst WO53 was the same thing for AMF.
