C8 door numbers

Interesting that the original number (41-1 etc) was applied twice in just over two years. I suspect that the original unit name is there too mixed up with the later style number. The first part of the 1943 style number (53 in this case ) was unit specific I believe so the two trucks that you refer to were likely in the same unit in 1943. My F8 is 70-286, either the PWOR or the Brockville Rifles I believe.
