Default The round side hatches

identify it as a later production Mk VII with 75mm gun (or Mk VIII with 95mm Howitzer).

I understand that all (or most) of these were produced with the mounting holes so that a crocodile flame thrower kit could be fitted.

This means that the presence of mounting holes for the trailer coupling won't tell us whether it was a crocodile or not, only if any bits of the flame gear remain.

ps I remember seeing bits of Churchill suspension on a demolition range in the Hunter Valley back in '83.
