You may have luck at a VW dealer for engine parts. We have had to do that on occassion when an Iltis broke down on a road move to Ft Benning in the States.
I ran into a young Engineer Officer a couple years ago who had bought an Iltis and found it cheaper to go to German distributers overseas, than deal with suppliers in Quebec. Unfortunately, I don't have much more information than that. GW
