What you have here is a trailer built for the RAF. it is to a Straussler design. Their Torsion Bar Trailer patents were bought by the Air Ministry and J. Brockhouse of West Bromwich were licensed to produce the trailers, of which around 10,000 were built during WW2. Often see as refueller tankers, house type bodies, lighthouse for aerodromes, etc. A few can be found around the UK still, mostly refuellers.
