Yep, they are sold. I marked the contents of the ad as sold pending funds, but in fact the bearings are now shipped to their new owner in Ottawa, with the promise of payment forthcoming. After all, if you can't trust someone on this forum, who can you trust??.
I found that with the used bearings, only two of them (I can't recall if it was the upper or the lower) would sustain the weight of the trick, and get all the wear. I also found that you could force fresh grease into the bearings, or on some of the brands, even pop them apart to clean out the mud and repack them.
