Ian,
I have definatilly seen them on Studebakers which most of them didn't come into service in Australia untill after the war. My 2 jeeps never had them and one of them was in service untill 1950. I do have an MB wreck that has one. I would like to know more about them. Maybe we could try Mike Cecil, I emailed him a question once and he answered back. Jeff
