Bob, the price of scrap is indeed down. In the interest of raising $$$ for a future project I am scrapping a whack of vehicles. The price has gone down from $1200.00 to $1000.00 in the last week. Scrap typically goes down this time of year. Our local smelter makes a lot of construction steel and that industry slows down in winter so maybe that has an effect. I have a lot of aluminum rads and searchlight parts that I think I will keep til spring when the price goes back up. That way I will have gas money for a trip to your BBQ.
