You lot aren't going to try to burn out the whole of eastern Oz again this year, are you?

Default back to work

Had to put some parts back on as it is spraying season again. Work will now have to be on doner parts until the end of March. Then I gues I will need to take a thousand referance photos for the big pull down and paint over winter.

Hi Eric

The yellow colour you are seeing is actually what happens to khaki No2 when it is exposed to sun and rain for many years. Khaki is of course much greener and darker when fresh.

Or, if it is really yellow, it could be Light Stone!

Default MLU sticker

You had better remind me again, oh esteemed forum proprietor, how do I purchase one of those stickers so that you can also say "Good'onya, mate!" in your absolutely wonderful Australian accent to me also?

regards
Rod

I'm multi-talented, Rod... not only can I do Ozian, because I live in Toronto I can do it in a fine Pakistani accent as well!

Actually, there are people around here who actually talk like that with real Canadian accents too... doesn't quite sound the same though...

Email or PM me your address and I'll have a few stickers on the way to you in a couple of days. Actually, what I'd like to do is get someone to make them for sale Downunder (saves shipping)! Interested?

Jif

Thumbs up progress

My brother in law visited yesterday so I took advantage of his muscles to get the spare transfur case out of the chassis for rebuilding. The oil in it was more like porable grease.

I picked up the new spedo cable from Whittakers speedometer service today, $75.00 + GST. Now when I get it all together I will know how slow I am going.

At last I found time to try the cheap sandblaster, cheap means no instructions included, it works well although at one stage there was so mush sand exiting the nozel I couldn't see the D.

Smile Let the distruction begin!

Still raining so I had most of the day to start pulling the blitz down and counting the parts. So far only one broken bolt. The seals were made of canvis and hemp rope.

Lifting the top half of the cab off without a front end loader is hard work but I managed in the end.

The nose, mudguards, cab rear pannel and one floor plate came off today. The broken bolt tally rose rapidly when I started on the floor. I discovered if you place a 3/4 spanner over the captive cage the nut is held snug and the rattle gun will either remove the bolt or snap it off without wacking your knuckels. The boys got to help today they held the nose clear of the radiator as I lowered it with the comealong.
