In Greggs "Canadian Military Vehicle Series, Europe WW2", the fully laden and equipped weight is stated as 9800lbs.
I have always reguarded the average restored carrier to be around 7000lbs, considering that one rarely has two full petrol tanks, no ammo, no personal kit, few tools etc. A truck of suitable towing power (like a chev2500) equipped with a flatdeck trailer w/ 2 x 3500lb axles should do. I think this is what Stewart Loy uses to cart his around with...
