The Spitfire pictured is an FR XIV that is believed to have served with 28 Sqn in India. That particular a/c was a prototype for modifications (strengthening) that were adopted by all following FR XIVs and LF XIVs.. One of the camera ports is visible at about 10 oclock from the fuselage roundel in the lighter camouflage. It appears as a circular indentation about the same size as the roundel. It has been faired over with fabric and painted.
