This goes to show they seem to be in most corners of the globe...
I had an email from Christo Loubser in Namibia who is seeking information about how to rebuild this F60L (or F60S - hard to tell from the angle) which belonged to his grandfather. ![]() Looks like he has a very good start with a rust free and straight cab. Missing the bumper though. More.

Hi
This is my CMP, it is standing on our farm (Windhoek Namiba) for at least the last 40 years this vehicle was used to tow a drilling machine. I' in the process of aquiring as much info as possible of this vehicle in order to restore this beauty. Any help on information would be reatly appreciated. Should i first try and start the vehicle or NOT. One Question is it it worth to get the instruction book on CMP's.. Christo Loubser |

G'day Chris,
Welcome to the Forum. Firstly, from the photos, it looks like an F60S, but a measurement of the wheel base will tell you. F60S is 134 inches and F60L, 158 inches. Buy or acquire a manual for your truck. They are plentyful out there for not much money. Without a manual, your you'll be pushing hard to get things right. Good luck and as I said "Welcome to the Forum". Regards Rick

If you're still in doubt, the 'S' version has a single piece tailshaft and the 'L' a two piece one.
Good to see you've joined us on MLU. ![]()
