Default Reverse Restoration

We all know how hard it is to find a military vehicle that can be restored to as new condition. It is also well known the quality of the restorations of Stefan and Dirk Leegwater. Now they have thrown a wrench in things and have done a reverse restoration. The first photo is the "BEFORE" and the last one is the "AFTER". The really bad news for Brian Gough and I is that when using the old smaller Land Rover we had to go down the (topless) beach and check garbage cans till the back was filled with with bags. Dirk says " when the truck is full, time for coffee". Now we have booked our flights, paid the extra terrorism insurance, paid Toronto's excessive landing fees, paid the fuel surcharge, and find out we have a larger truck to fill in Holland.
Cheers,
Barry

Oh that Mr. Dirk is one smart cookie !!!

Barry, I don't think it's just one larger truck for us to fill ..... it means there is a truck for each of us to fill. The question is, who gets the big one? But it's not all bad - more North Holland beach time has its rewards.

Brian

Hi Bob,

The lenght of our beach is 5½ KM, in front of the first picture is
the North part. The South part is the "famous" naked beach.
I have seen some old guys to digg a hole, early in the morning.
Hoping to see nice views the hole day !

All the visiters of our beach are happy, very nice weather and a
clean beach ofcours. Some visiters (from over the pond) of LwD shop
are not so happy, I know, very sorry for that. Steven and I are
working on it.

Dirk

Barry is thinking, naked beach ? no nothing, only garbage.

63 year after the War, explosion number (to many). Mariska's advice for you guys:
Cycling tour in Amsterdam and no more work on the beach. I told her no way, we need
the famous "Uitsmijter" in Camperduin, next month.

The Mortar grenades were made in France, the Germans
used those in occupied Holland, WW II. Wat can I (we) say ?

Gosh Dirk, Brian and I will have to be more careful when we pull something that looks like an old wine bottle out of the sand. Maybe I will stay in the pavillion in camperduin with Jeroen and eat uitsmijter. Wish I had been there to see the explosion.
Groet,
Barry

Default If you keep finding those little things

Dirk- If you keep turning up things like that you will definitely have a reverse restoration.

Cheers Phil

Default Dirk's inner self

Dirk only shows you the macho stuff he finds. What about this little treasure? I doubt it's from WW2 but one never knows. I think he took this home to his wife.
Cheers,
Barry
