Default Ex-Canadian M10s

I had a closer look at another one of those ex-Canadian Army M10s that the Danish Army recieved 1953-54 as Canadian MDAP deliveries. It is serial number 7279 and is currently on being restored. Despite its somewhat shabby exterior, the vehicle is currently a runner in the hands of some capable and caring people.

Anyway, they have found a couple of markings which appear to be original Canadian Army items. Wonder if anyone can tell me what they mean?

One is a red circle with the white number "3" on the right rear hull of the tank, the other is on the front right of the hull, a red square with some lettering. See attached photos.
