Is this comment on Wallace Wades tyres on this forum justifiable.

... the comments come from someone who has bought them....installed... and used them........... beware........particularly if he is trying to sell you his brand of Mitas tires.
Do a search on the forum for previous threads.... there were some controversy on the bead angle and what they would or would not fit..... ....bottom line they do fit........ I agree that they are not as heavy and massive as the original 1940 run flat tires which I can hardly lift and which will carry the truck even when deflated but the Ottawa Rotters got 22 and so far we love them. I will also agree that $325 EU per tire is no bargain..... they are now selling at $215 US.... that's the price for living across the pond!!! Unreal!! But they look awesome..... and the fresh rubber really smells nice...!!! Others will chime in with there own personal experience. BooBee

I've got about a thousand miles on mine. Rides nicer than the Denmans and easier on the entire drivetrain with lower RPM. They look great as well. Very happy with them. They are DOT so there is no way they are 2 ply.

As far as Wallace Wade's tires go, I have absolutely nothing to complain about. They are round (when on edge) rugged and resiliant.
