Halifax NS geneology query

Hi ... am doing a search for anyand all informations about a
"Reverend Doctor James Stuart Carruthers"
who may have started/had roots with the TRURO HOSPIAL in Nova Scotia ... this mans son is now 88.

Does anyone know of any links or search ideas that might get me some information? Would like to find something asap ... am searching for the 88 yr old ex RCAF Pilot son this is a favor for an elderly vet. If you can help ... then BLESS YOU!
