Default BSA Folding Bicycle, Thread type? BSC? BSF?

Hi Guys,

I am trying to get my BSA folding Bicycle done for Normandy and this involves reproducing brake-parts and some other things. Although I have measured most of the parts I need from a complete example, I haven't been able to determine the thread types used. Basically I think it's either BSF, British Standard Fine or the Cycle thread, BSC. Anyone who can help?

The ones I am after are:
  • the slotted roundhead bolts which secure the brake arms and the spring.
  • The hex head bolts attaching the brake parts to the fork.
  • The bolt securing the saddle.
  • And last, but not least...the thread of the wingnuts used to fold and unfold the bike.
It seems slotted roundhead bolts in BSF or BSC are hard to find anyway, so I might need to modify hex ones.

Any help would be appreciated

Alex

Radek,

Thanks for your reply; I will contact the seller for a set of BSA decals anyway and will ask him about the bolts.

Please don't let this withold any other members to react to the thread-question, because I would like to get the brakes done, sooner rather than later. Normandy is only 10 weeks away

P.s. Radek....Any of the Czech MV owners coming over to Normandy?

Alex
