MkI Towing Gear
Came across this the other day. Do you think it was wartime fitted? Does anyone recognise the hook or bracket?

That bracket looks to be cast. If so I would think that it was. Ive also seen some pictures that have what looks like a mount coming off of both sides of the battery box.

Pintle hook
Looks awfully similar to the one on my #6 gun tractor. Please excuse the poor quality image.

The actual towing hook looks to be the standard Commonwealth type. You see the same part on the CMP's and latter Carriers. However its the mount that it is mounted too that is different.
The one you pictures has the leaf springs. Same as CMP's and the Stacy towing attachment.
