looking for relative!
I am trying to find some info about or locate family of Joseph 'Joe' Burry. He was born in Enagland in 1920 and emigrated to Canada in 1927. He was stationed in England in he war in he Hichin area. Parents called I believe Ida and John. He had a relationship wih my grandmother. I believe he was then posed to Loraine in France.
I know he had a brother Richard who sadly died in the war but do not know what happened to Joe, he did not I think die in the war. Any information gratefully received! Tracey in England |

Hi Tracey
The Commonwealth War Graves Commission shows that the brother died in Sicily while serving with the Ontario Regiment. http://www.cwgc.org/search/SearchRes...x=45&send.y=11 You could request the brother's records from the Canadian Archives and, with the personal information shown there, identify the Canadian city, address, next of kin, etc.., at time of enlistment and possibly get a lead on Joe Burry. I recomend a local guy (Ottawa) by the name of Arnie Kay <cef.research@rogers.com> who could help you in the Archives research. He is quick and inexpensive. Good luck Clive
