Default Early Ram Kangaroo in NWE in 1945

I have recently received "Cromwell & Centaur" by Ian Carter.
On page 25 there is a picture of a 5th Inniskilling Dragoon Guards Cromwell but in the centre and background of the photo is a Ram Kangaroo with the hull side door. The caption places the Ram in Weseke supporting 9th Durham Light Infantry and dates the photo as 29th March 1945. I was surprised that this early model were still in use that late in the war.
IWM reference is BU 2823
Any thoughts? Bill? Anyone?

Cheers
Kevin

There is still a rusty RAM hull with side doors rusting away here in Holland. let's hope it will get a second chance one day

I agree. Great site with lots of pictures. And run by our "own" Clive Law. Also great to see lots of familiar names at the bottom of the welcome page.
