My friend has found this photo of a COE truck in service with the Belgian Army. I think it's a 1948-50 Ford..is that correct? Friend wonders if there is any history? I would suggest assembly in Antwerp or even Amsterdam Plants, but beyond that have no idea!

I spoke to the dealer who owned it (this was years back) and was told it was a Ford Koln ( Cologne?) truck from around the period you mention.

Ford brought out that grille style in 1949.

This is a Ford F6 COE, as used in sizeable numbers by Belgian Army. All-wheel drive conversion by Marmon-Herrington. Also built as an artillery tractor, one of which is seen here in action as a police overvalwagen in The Congo.
