Default Mirror for Mk1* carrier

I am trying to find a mirror for my Mk1* carrier, does anyone have a idea as to where I might track one down? Is the CMP mirror the same one?

CMP mirror is the same, except you will need the small clamp to attach it to the mirror arm.
There was a guy on ebay a few years back with the original mirrors for around $45 to $85 each. I have lost contact info but some on this board will have it. You can also look at the mirrors on the MGs back fro mthe early 60s I believe. They are pretty close except they usually come in chrome.

Default CMP Mirrors

Rob,

Would you be thinking of eBay seller "Bopaya" from Buenos Aries, Argentina? Bopaya is still selling although I haven't seen any CMP mirrors listed in a long time.

I am sure everyone on the MLU Forum bought mirrors from him at one time or another.

Default Mirror

I got the ones for the truck from vintagecarparts from the site below, that takes you to the part number. While they didnt say it, they do them in brass so once they got here I pulled them apart and painted them. Took 6 days to get to Australia from time I paid for them.

Default Mirrors

I bought all the Ebay mirrors in question. 20 to be exact. They are original World War 2 Carrier, CMP mirrors with brackets.

I am really looking for trades if you have anything?

Adam

Good for you Adam. I suspect it will be a long time before such an item comes up for sale in quantity again.

Folks,
Thank you for the replys. I now have some prospects. It`s help like this that make this somewhat small community tick. Thank you.
I will soon be rounding up my carrier, with the bits and bobs that I have managed to pick up. looks like the northern route for the return trip (Picton, Ontario to Beaumont Alberta) More to follow on this.

Adame was banned from the site, so he cannot answer you. Not as you might have expected anyhow.
