The new expanded and revised edition of the book Weapons of the WWII Tommy is now available. The new books have more than 300 additional pages of content over the first edition. They can be identified by a yellow banner near the bottom indicating “Revised and Expanded” which is what we did last year when the revised editions of the Equipment of the WWII Tommy books came out. This is to ensure anyone buying copies from a vendor, eBay or at a local show don’t get sold a used copy of the old book. The first printing has been out of print for awhile and people have been selling used copies on Amazon for really crazy prices. The UK site has one for 395GBP and the USA site has one for $555US. No point doing that when you can buy a new copy of the expanded book for $34.95 plus shipping.
Link below gets you to the information and ordering site for the weapons book which has 784 total pages. A breakdown is shown on the site to compare chapters and content of the first edition and this new expanded edition. http://www.visualcollector.com/Tommy...mmyWeapons.htm And we still have some copies of the expanded edition of the equipment book as well which has 664 total pages and can be found a this link: http://www.visualcollector.com/Tommy...yEquipment.htm Both books were printed in limited numbers so get your copy at cover price while they are available.

Both of your copies will go out today (Still Wednesday in my part of the world).
Also in case anyone else had questions on shipping multiple copies of one or both books, the postal service here has what they call Small Flat Rate which is a box allowing up to four pounds of weight for the same shipping price. Since the weapons book is almost three pounds, multiples are more cost effective for the buyer when we ship them individually. The next good deal the post office has is their medium flat rate box which can hold up to 20 pounds for international shipments so we can get up to seven books in that type box. But it only becomes affordable if someone needed three or more copies since it costs roughly $45 for shipping internationally. Either method works out much cheaper than their standard airmail so we’re taking advantage of the priority airmail flat rate boxes while they still offer it as a service. And anyone living in Canada is unfortunately SOL right now. We’re having to hold Canadian orders since the post office here in the USA will refuse to accept the package until the Canadian Postal Service resumes operations. Hopefully the labor dispute up there will work itself out.

I got the postage E-Mails, great service when a package can be posted the day before it was ordered.

Peak efficiency from our post office for a change. But then you live 15 hours in the future over there in OZ, at least when compared to us here in Texas.

Just ordered both expanded revisions to go with my copies of the originals. To anyone not familiar with David's books, they are the definitive tomes on the subjects of Uniforms, Weapons, and Equipment of the WWII Tommy. When selling on ebay, I always state, "as seen on page such-and-such of David Gordon's book..." I'm sure that has helped sell a lot of kit.
Thanks Dave!

Hey Derek,
Since you moved to Texas, you'll be the only Canadian with a copy of the weapons book. At least until they break the postal strike up there. We've built up a lot of Canuck book orders but still can't ship them. Supposedly they will open the doors up there again on Tuesday the 28th and if so, I’ll have a pile of boxes to ship before they change their minds. I’ll bet the mail will be really slow to move in Canada when they do open since they’ll have such a backlog to deal with.
